Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman has been an outstanding psychologist since 1993. She is also the director for the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. She is widely credited with initiating the contemporary science-based study of children's witness memory as well as child victims as witnesses in lawful circumstances. Professor Goodman is an prolific writer and has been awarded several awards and grants. She has consulted with numerous government agencies and governments across the world on policies and studies on children who are victims of the justice system. She works as a Consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center - formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She was a part of numerous professional organizations, including the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families policy and practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman is a member of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of 3 divisions (Division Society for Policy on Child and Family and Practice Division American Psychological Law Society, and Division Developmental Psychology) and one section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
